Choose the package for your system. Release assets and checksums are available from the official releases page.
macOS: DMG
- Download the universal macOS
.dmgfor Apple Silicon and Intel. - Open the disk image and drag Prismattyc.app into Applications, or into
~/Applications. - Open Prismattyc from Applications or the Dock.
The app links its bundled pmux command into /usr/local/bin when possible, otherwise ~/.local/bin. It does not edit your shell profile. If the command is not found, see Find pmux.
Windows: MSI
- Download the Windows x64
.msifrom Downloads or the release assets. - Run the installer, then open Prismattyc from the Start menu.
- Open a new Command Prompt or PowerShell window to pick up the user PATH change.
The MSI installs under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Prismattyc, prepends its cmd directory to your user PATH, and registers the session server at logon. ADDTOPATH=0 leaves PATH unchanged. Close Prismattyc before installing when you need the new files to be used immediately.
For a portable installation, extract the Windows zip and run bin\prismattyc-host.exe. The MSI is the recommended route for a normal desktop installation.
Linux: release archive
Use the x86_64 or ARM64 archive for your processor. Linux requires glibc 2.28 or newer and a Wayland or X11 desktop. On Ubuntu, install the native libraries:
sudo apt install libfontconfig1 libxkbcommon0 libxkbcommon-x11-0 libegl1
Download the archive, then extract and install it. This example uses x86_64:
mkdir prismattyc-release
tar -xzf prismattyc-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz \
--strip-components=1 -C prismattyc-release
./prismattyc-release/install.sh
~/.local/bin/prismattyc-host
For ARM64, use prismattyc-aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz. Add ~/.local/bin to PATH if needed. The installer can add the pmux skill for detected agents; use --no-agent-skills to skip it.

Each release publishes checksum files beside the packages. Compare your download with the checksum for that platform before installing. Next: open your first terminal.
